Donya-Patrice

This week's "Who's that Girl (in menswear)" features Donya-Patrice Campbell, one of the most stylish ladies bowling around London Town. You may have caught a glimpse of her on The Sartorialist, or perhaps spotted this well-garbed woman in the pages of Elle magazine. With impeccable taste and a flair for masculine tailoring she's one of the most effortlessly chic gals styling her way through this city. Girl in Menswear was... ...READ MORE

BRAND WATCH: TUSTING

Last week, I popped into Push PR's showrooms for their Christmas themed summer soiree (work that one out). With a whole host of brands on show, there was one in particular that caught this menswear-enthusiast's eye, and that was leather accessories label TUSTING. I am normally hot on my heritage brands, but this British treasure seems to have slipped me by - until now. Born in 1875 and bred in... ...READ MORE

Holiday Prep: NYC Menswear

If you follow me on Twitter you will be sick to death of me banging on about my holiday to New York next week. New York in summer I hear you cry! I know, I know, no one in their right mind goes to a big sweaty city in August, but a good friend of mine is getting married and I wouldn't miss it for the world, plus it’s an... ...READ MORE

ASOS Menswear Series: Part Three

For my final item of ASOS menswear I have opted for an evening look. More, cocktails on a roof terrace in London then a full on black tie ensemble (that's to come!), I wanted a look that was impactful and womanly for le soir, but of course still featured menswear. Once again my key menswear piece is for the lower half of your body and is a lovely pair of... ...READ MORE

Trend Watch: A/W 2013

It might not feel like it right now, but the Autumn/Winter 2013 collections are about to land in store. The last of the summer clothes have been wittled out in the sales and we are getting a preview into what we will be wearing in the coming months. If you are a menswear enthusiast (which I will assume you are), this is where you will really be coming into your... ...READ MORE

The ASOS Menswear Series: Part two.

Prints are in - well you knew that already. In the women's wear aisles there has been no shortage of floral, Aztec and animal print, but what the ladies lines lack in my humble opinion, are the tongue and cheek, more adventurous patterns that are found in the menswear sections. Take these ASOS skinny fit shorts for example, embroided with storks they are a witty nod to the pattern trend whilst... ...READ MORE

Being a sport.

For me, summer in London means drinking pear cider, picnics and barbecues and sitting outdoors until I've utilized every scrap of sunshine BBC weather has offered up. I have been dutifully informed though, that for many, summer in and around London means sport. Lots of it. Wimbledon, Ascot, test cricket and now the Ashes, the Tour de France over the Channel and The Open (open what?) up in Scotland. Don't... ...READ MORE

The ASOS Menswear Series

As you know I'm a little on the small size to be wearing men's clothing, but I've discovered (and continue to discover) menswear brands with awesome items available in a slim fit 'S' or 'XS' sizing. One of the champions of smaller sizing at affordable price tags is ASOS. Girls will be familiar with trawling the site in the ladies section, but perhaps never ventured into the rest of the... ...READ MORE

Where to shop XS menswear

If, like me, you love boys clothes but are pint sized, it can be pretty hard to find menswear available that fits you properly (unless you shop in the kids sections - post to follow!). A fair few items in my wardrobe have been tailored to fit and many I style oversized, but the majority of menswear items I own are sized XS. There is little more aggravating than finding... ...READ MORE

Trying Michael Bastian on for size

There are three main reasons you may have heard of menswear designer Michael Bastian: 1) He's been voted one of Out Magazine's 25 sexiest silver foxes (grrr) 2) He won the CFDA Menswear Designer of the Year Award in 2011 and was nominated the three years preceding his crowning - this year he was nominated again. 3) Over the last few years he's created standout collections with the likes of UNIQLO, GANT... ...READ MORE
