Just over a week ago I was invited to spend the day behind the scenes on the TUSTING shoot for their A/W Look Book. If you follow my instagram feed you will have seen me snapping away at the gorgeous models and the equally gorgeous leather accessories. I’ve introduced this British heritage brand to readers before, but in case you missed it, TUSTING is a family run business producing high quality leather accessories which are designed and produced on British soil. They are big in Japan, where they love a British heritage brand, and leather goods aficionados will be familiar with the contemporary designs coupled with timeless craftsmanship of their men and women’s pieces.

I’d never been to a shoot before, and came with all my existing preconceptions about flurries of people running around in a panic, or egos and glamour galore, which I think I got from an episode of Lipstick Jungle way back when. This experience was quite the opposite – the team was absolutely lovely and made me feel part of it all immediately. The shoot took place in Jamie’s studio, who was our head honcho photographer and was accompanied by his lovely assistant who was on hand to produce shadows with origami like precision from pieces of cardboard. Our stylist Krishan, hair stylist Alexis and Nicola on make-up, were like the three musketeers of style armed with brushes and curlers to touch-up the models whenever necessary. The models Ben and Sophie were nothing but charming and humble despite their impressive portfolios, and direct from TUSTING we had Gillian, William and their PR Becky from PUSHPR. What a team, hey? And what did I do? Made a few cups of tea, giggled A LOT with everyone there and jumped around behind Jamie trying to get some pictures of my own to share with you – here they are:
