It’s no secret that I wear a lot of menswear from GANT Rugger – how many times have you seen me bust out that slipcase (whoops its here again) and wear ties and socks from the brand? Available in XS, it’s a menswear label that fits me well, and I love the preppy, east coast vibe that the guys at Rugger channel. It turns out I’m not the only girl who loves the brand though, as their most recent campaign  centres wholly around girls rocking the current collection. Entitled #girlsingantrugger, the campaign is being spearheaded by Swedish model Columbine Smille and now a few of us other GANT Rugger groupies have been invited to join in the fun too.

Invited in store (I know the staff there embarrassingly weIl already) I was asked to select a few items to style for my own #girlsingantrugger look. I’ve put together three outfits for you which I shot near my (new) house in Stockholm, the brand is Swedish after all so it seemed silly to do the photographs whilst in London. I’ve tried to channel a relaxed Scandinavian look throughout – how did I get on?

The pictures are taken on a Saturday at dusk, when the Stockholm light truly comes into its own. From GANT Rugger I’ve got this cozy green Cablecito sweater on with a Fall Madras shirt peeking out from underneath.girlsingantrugger3girlsingantrugger5I wanted to create a feminine look with this indigo shirt charmingly entitled the “Tinkering Twill”, it’s one of my favourite pieces from the Rugger A/W13 collection and I’ve got it on with the Cablecito jumper again, but this time in oxblood. A matching hat, some lace-up leather ankle boots with a matching vintage leather handbag and my polka dotted skirt and I can almost pretend I’m at Paris Fashion Week with the rest of ’em!

girlsingantrugger6girlsingantrugger4As I’m trying to learn Swedish (and am failing miserably) I picked up a local paper to go with my morning coffee and took my newly acquired outfit for a stroll along the waterfront. I’ve got the same shirt and sweater combination as the last set of photographs, but this time I’m wearing them with these beautiful blue trousers entitled the “Hopsack Smarty Pants” – you know when you can just tell a pair of pants are well made? That’s how these feel.
