You’ve probably read the February issue of Vogue, Elle and Esquire back to back by now, and are eagerly awaiting next months glossies. The March issues are up there with the September ones if you ask me, because March marks the beginning of Spring/Summer, and all things shiny and new that come with it.

Unlike a lot of people I love the first 20pages of my fash-mags. I savour the time I spend browsing these pages, admiring the advertising campaigns and seeing who claimed their rightful place on the first double page spread (I used to work in media, so I geek out about this kind of thing). March will introduce all the SS14 advertising campaigns and I’ve already picked my favourite.Kenzo-SS14-Pierpaolo-Ferrari-06

This season Kenzo have truly outdone themselves. Creative directors Humberto Leon and Carol Lim have once again partnered up with Pierpaolo Ferrari, Maurizio Cattelan and Micol Talso of Toilet Paper, to create a playful campaign in keeping with the brands tongue and cheek mood.

Check out the below eye-catching campaign image of model Devon Aoki striking a pose on a fish supported by Paul Boche. In a vivid clashing of colour this image epitomizes Kenzo’s youthful, statement feel for which the label has become known. The fact that you can’t really see the garments is irrelevant, I want to be signed up for the cool-kid-Kenzo-club pronto.
