Yesterday was absolutely amazing. Despite the incessant drizzle (at times a downpour) and my lack of anything waterproof, I had a great time strolling around Somerset House, bumping into faces of old and being acquainted with some of my blogging, photography and journalism idols. It was a full on day of shows, behind the scenes reporting, meetings, presentations and a mean afterparty where the Noisettes performed to an intimate crowd (including Ellie Goulding) who danced in the rain.
After channeling a chic, tailored style yesterday, today I have gone for a more streetwear inspired look. I love the bomber jackets that are everywhere for AW13 at the moment, and this fleece lined Maison Scotch number is seriously badass. Also from Dutch brand Maison Scotch is my leather textured top, another standout piece from their current collection. I’m wearing my ASOS menswear skinny ankle grazing trousers, some rather bright pink Topshop socks and two-tone leather shoes by Scandinavian brand Somsoe o Samsoe. My essentials (including iphone charger – forgot that yesterday! Doh!) are tucked away in my vintage leather clutch bag, and I’ve got a 90’s hip-hop inspired chunky gold chain to bling up my neckline, and on my finger is a ring by my new favourite jewellery designer Bill Skinner – his animal themed jewellery is statement accessorising at its best. I’m off!
