If you want fabulous with a capital F, then you’re talking the Unique by Topshop show yesterday. In the Topshop space at Regent’s Park Philip Green sprinkled his magic dust and pulled in quite the crowd for the occasion. Playing who’s who on the FROW could not have been easier – these are faces you’ve seen before. Ellie Goulding, Pixie Geldof, Suki Waterhouse, Atlanta de Cadenet, Daisy Lowe, Samantha Barks – should I go on? Kate Moss (who is gorgeous by the way) and Anna Wintour took pride of place on either side of the Big Man himself, to watch the likes of Cara Delevingne and Jourdan Dunn slink down the grass catwalk.
But enough, about the celebrities and onto the clothes themselves. This was a beautifully innovative SS14 collection of breezy maxi dresses, billowing trousers, boho themed blouses and peek-a-boo play-suits. Topshop Unique flirted between feminine, soft pieces and more androgynously tomboy themed garments, but there was a youthfulness seemed at the heart of each piece. Fabrics draped and moved with the models rather than retaining structure, giving the collection a summer-holiday vibe. 
Mirrors were scattered over summery brocade lace, raw reversed denim, heavier suedes and strip bonded silks, . The colour palette varied from soft whites and nudes, bright dandelion yellows and cornflower blues, and darker purples, indigos and emerald greens. Black was sparse, and instead this collection had a distinct summer vibe to it.
