Casey Legler for All Saints

I know what I like, and I like guys.

The female form is indisputably more aesthetically attractive than the males’, but for whatever reason its boys instead of brauds for me.

I have of course on many occasion noticed every cleavage in the room without passing an eye over the male talent, but like many of my gender it is an admiration thing, more of a ‘high-five to you, you look pretty banging in that bondage dress and choos – I salute you!’ And of course a twinge of green-eyed-‘I wish I hadn’t ordered the bread basket pre-dinner’-monster too. I’m a girl, I can’t help it, blame the ovaries.

And then Casey Leger came along.

All gappy grin, angled contours and tatted arms, Casey is the ex-swimmer, New York based ‘art-maker’ and Ford signed model on the scene. Except Casey is not strutting down the catwalks with the likes of Cara Delvingne, she is an exclusively menswear model and the first of her kind. And Casey is my new crush.

Unfathomably beautiful, this soft-spoken lady is fierce and poised, and as she puts it, what she has done (and continues to do) is pretty ‘rad’. Part want to kiss her/part want her wardrobe, she is blurring the boundaries of where menswear and womenswear meet and just become, well, wear. It’s not just androgyny, that’s been done. She, joined by the likes of Wildfang are ‘liberating menswear’ and making girls in boys clothes cool and current.

Whether you are grabbing a bowtie and shaking your socks L-word style or just down with tomboy textiles, you will be welcomed to the Wildfang family and hopefully at the next family-do, Casey and I can hang out.
