3 Reasons I’m loving London this weekend

1) The Open Air Theatre at Regent’s Park is open

to kill

To Kill a Mockingbird, Harper Lee’s timeless novel, has been transformed into a stella play and is currently showing at Regents Park’s Open Air Theatre. It’s a magical experience sitting amongst the tree tops lit by dusk and watching Scout’s tale unfold to a soundtrack of parakeets; it’s hard not to feel transported back to a balmy day in 1930’s Alabama. Pray for sunshine and pack a picnic to enjoy in front of the lake or head straight to the theatre bar which is well stocked with Gin Mules and Aperol Spritzs for a pre-performance tipple. This is not to be missed.

2) Fast Fashion

I’ve wanted some new high-tops that can get suitably scuffed at a few grimy gigs and voila! Or ‘beslöjade'(as the Swedes say)! My local H&M was well stocked with an array of brightly coloured footwear – I got these Zebra printed bad boys with neon laces for a mere £7. It took me 35minutes door-to-door to find exactly what I was looking for.

3) Saturday night at the Movies

RooftopFilmClub

I FINALLY got it together to get some tickets for the Secret Cinema tonight. Having been instructed to ‘tell no-one’ there’s not much I can let you in on, but I’ve been promised a cinematic experience to surpass anything I’ve ever witnessed before. For those of you who love the big-screen, London has so much to offer aside from heading down to your local Odeon; the Outdoor Cinema Club has opened up in Hoxton, you can go partake in a mass dance class at Leonard Street Carpark for their showing of Dirty Dancing and the weather is making Hot Tub Cinema Club’s open-air offering all the more inviting. There’s something for every taste.
