Since Justin Timberlake and Britney Spears wore those matching double-denim ensembles, I’ve had mixed feelings about jean-on-jean. It’s one of those trends that can go so horribly wrong, but when it looks good, it can look soooo good. Google “Double Denim” and there are endless how-to guides, instructing you on how to work varying shades of blue into one look, but here’s the thing, this season it’s not about making your head to toe indigo look flawless, its about looking a little bit flawed from head to toe.
Yes, this season a little ugly, is a lot of cool. Socks with slides, no make up #selfies and Mom jeans are de rigeur, normcore rules the roost, and sneakers have kicked stilettos off their fashionable pedestal. We are undergoing a period of anti-fashion and we should embrace it whole heartedly.
So today’s look features a Topshop MOTO denim jacket paired with Mom jeans by BDG – yes, the most unflattering high-waisted denim option is my new go-to pair. My matchy-matchy denim is paired with these stunning blue Oliver Sweeney leather brogues – nothing ugly about these babies. The brand better known for men’s shoes, is synonymous with quality and stylish leather footwear, and I am rejoicing the introduction of a capsule womenswear line with the same craftsmanship and sleek design as their menswear counterparts.
What do you think readers? Is blue on blue for you?

Thanks! The stove is in my bedroom, perfect for Stockholm winters! x
Ahhh SNAP! This combo is my favourite off-duty uniform. I wear Gap Sexy Boyfriend jeans with matching denim jacket and Werthers Originals-coloured Church’s. Can’t go wrong! PS, nice mention in Cosmo Fashion
Hey! Thanks so much, I’m waiting for a copy of Cosmo in the post as haven’t seen it yet! Yeah I love a bit of blue on blue!
