This summer the double denim trend was championed by many a menswear label. Not for the faint hearted, it’s a look that can have you looking more akin to Justin Timberlake & Britney Spears in those outfits, then a slinky Marlboro inspired cow-girl. However, when done right, it’s a look that can appear effortless whilst still catching a few fashionable eyes. I’m pairing my Levi’s 501s with my short-sleeved River Island menswear number with contrasting denim collar and dark blue buttons.
As if double denim wasn’t enough of a nod to the Mid-West, I’ve also got on my Mulberry fringed soft leather jacket. This is one of my most prized possessions acquired in a sample sale a few years back and treasured ever since. The rose gold buckle and zips are my favourite details – when I throw on this jacket I always feel like a boss (well kind of).
I’ve got my Russell & Bromley monks (you’ve seen this pair before!) and my family heirloom gold ear-rings with a topaz pendant. Of course never one to shy away from statement jewellery, I’ve got my bling-ring on from YSL.
