MeadhamI know, that everyone has moved onto Milan Fashion Week now and that London Fashion Week already feels like it was last weeks news, but I still haven’t gotten over quite how beautiful some of the collections were and wanted to share some of my pictures with you from the Meadham Kircchoff show.

This design duo are a bit like marmite, you either swoon over their boundary pushing collections or find yourself repelled by their garish colourings. I sit in the former tribe – I can’t get enough of them.

The Topshop show space had its grass catwalk removed and in its place was a white runway scattered with white and red roses with crumpling trellises at its base. A far cry from the house music beats of earlier shows, a far more sinister soundtrack was selected for the show, with a combination of haunting metal screeching and a constant heartbeat that lured the Pippi Longstocking guised models down the catwalk.meadham2The clothing was all Victorian lace smocks, baby-doll dresses, hand-embroidered slips and womanly corsets. Elizabeth I, served as a muse for this collection, as she only wore black, white, red, and gold, and the designer duo stuck to this palette religiously. Accessories were playful,  thigh-high socks, bat-wing sunglasses and cartoon-clad bags ensured that the audience knew that this was a collection to sit back and enjoy. Humour, however, could not distract from the incredibly quality and intricate designs of every piece. Beautiful silks and satins, endless lace and a dash of PVC were the carefully selected ingredients for a wildly fun collection.meadham3
