I’m not a polo shirt wearer, and so I always assumed I wasn’t an Original Penguin wearer either. However at a recent press day I was introduced to the brands most recent capsule collection which is inspired by the penguin feather. Now, here’s a little fact about me – I LOVE penguins. Happy Feet is one of my favourite films (who doesn’t love a tap dancing bird!?) and I must have watched David Attenborough’s Frozen Planet a gazillion times.
A lot of the 14 piece collection was not to my taste, but two items in particular caught my eye and they were this shirt and sweater – I just loved the story that went with them. The orange, yellow and grey colour palette used on both pieces is inspired by the hues found in a King penguin’s beak, and the pattern on the shirt mimics the footprints that our feathered friends make as they shuffle through the snow, pretty cool right?
