Earthy tones and mismatched checks make up today’s wintery look. I’ve embraced this seasons autumnal palette and put together an outfit for weekend wear with a sartorial spin. This time of the year, it’s all about clever layering that has you looking sleek and put together, rather than bulky and uncomfortable. As someone that seriously feels the cold – my Brazilian blood was not made for these Scandinavian climes – I’m loving all the chunky knitwear that is about this AW13, and the jumper is fast becoming my seasonal staple.

Which brings me nicely on to the centre piece for today’s ensemble, which is my French Connection menswear lambswool knit. With a chunky, ribbed neck-line and an all-over metallic woven gridlock pattern, this is a contemporary, urban take on the winter wooly. Never afraid to embrace a clashing print, I’m wearing a checkered blazer and patterned silk scarf – what do you think, too much?

I’m wearing: French Connection jumper, H&M blazer, GANT Rugger scarf and slip case, vintage denim shirt, TM Lewin tie, Topshop cargo trousers an boots.
