It’s hard to imagine reclining on sun-drenched sands when it’s about to hit -12C in Stockholm, but if I’m going to allow my mind to wander to warmer climes I’m taking Orlebar Brown with me.
Launched in 2007 by photographer Adam Brown, the focus is on flattering and elegant swimwear that can be taken from the beach to the pool bar seamlessly. The menswear BULLDOG swimming shorts are a fantastic collection of swimwear pieces guaranteed to elevate your poolside status a notch or eight. Inspired by the work of American photographer (and playboy) Slim Aarons, they feature jetset retro imagery. Aarons once said that the only beach worth landing on was one ‘decorated with beautiful, semi-nude girls tanning in a tranquil sun.’ Fair dues.
