You’re gonna hear me ROOOOOOAR!

I don’t normally feature two outfit posts in a row, but I couldn’t hold off writing about this particular look. See I’m a tad obsessed with a new collection of silk shirts I have acquired from a new British brand called Silken Favours.

I was caught in an instagram black hole, (as often happens) when I stumbled across a photo of a mint green cowboy shirt adorned with tassels, pink cats and roses. The proprietor of said instagram photograph was Vicki Murdoch, an extremely talented London based print designer who hand draws kitsch animal themed illustrations onto upholstery, scarves and clothing. Needless to say it was love at first sight, as the only thing better than cute animals in clothes, is cute clothes with animals on them. I got in touch and before I knew it I was filling my shopping basket with the young designers luxurious tongue-n-cheek pieces.

With a collection of several of Vicki’s shirts now under my belt, I wanted to share with you one of my favourite of her shirts – this “Jungle King” silk shirt with lion print and macaws.
