Chino Challenge Look 3

Spring has sprung, or is at least in the process of springing, and as a consequence rails are filled with bright colours and bold prints for Easter and on. For my third and final chino challenge look, I have opted for Topshop's floral jacquard t-shirt, which has a gorgeous structured form and is patterned in brights pinks, reds, greens, yellows and most importantly a matching powder blue to my Rugger... ...READ MORE

Chino Challenge – Look 2

Like the cigarette trouser, slim fitted chinos are easily dressed up for the evenings. As this shade of blue is relatively neutral, adding a statement colour such as red immediately transforms the look. I'm wearing my red suede stilettos from Kurt Geiger and have rolled up the hem on my chinos to make more of a feature of the shoes. I love a bold lip so have applied Lancome's limited-edition... ...READ MORE

Taking on the chino challenge

The chino has come a long way since your Dad was sporting them in a toasted beige colour, ill-fitted and coupled with a pair of spotless running trainers and white socks to boot. Today the chino is a wardrobe staple and available in all shapes, sizes, colours and cuts. Colour blocking is always... ...READ MORE

Come rain or shine

The English love to chat weather, and what a feast of talking topics this last week has provided us with. The last few days has reminded us that British weather is a beast of extremes. Serving up sun one minute, downpour the next, gale force winds to follow, and the meteorological anomaly known as 'thunder snow' by tea time. In these transitional times we call Spring, one must prepare to... ...READ MORE

GANT refreshes with Rugger

Last week I popped into Beak Street's recently opened GANT Rugger store, the first stand-alone Rugger store to debut in the UK. Although worn by the likes of Ryan Reynolds state-side, the GANT brand for us Britons is often associated with chinos and cashmere jumpers worn on Sunday afternoons by an older, discerning male audience. But not Rugger. Rugger is a brand in it's own right quite separate from it's GANT forefather.... ...READ MORE

She’s my perfect man.

[caption id="" align="aligncenter" width="286"] Casey Legler for All Saints[/caption]   I know what I like, and I like guys. The female form is indisputably more aesthetically attractive than the males', but for whatever reason its boys instead of brauds for me. I have of course on many occasion noticed every cleavage in the room without passing an eye over the male talent, but like many of my gender it is an admiration... ...READ MORE
