LOOK-2

Joseph: SS14

Have you heard the news? I’m a few weeks late to the party to be honest, but there are a few very exciting changes occurring over at Joseph.

In womenswear, the latest is that the brand will be showing at London Fashion Week next month. Topshop Unique is now a firm favourite on the calendar, and Whistles too has joined the fashion foray, so it gives me great pleasure to report that Joseph will be showcasing their AW14 womenswear at LFW too.

Meanwhile in menswear, earlier this month it was announced that Mark Thomas will be joining Joseph as menswear head designer – a newly created role. With an impressive CV that includes menswear design at Givenchy, Neil Barrett and Burberry, Thomas will be elevating the collection from a selection of pieces and separates, to a full formed collection. The emphasis will be on black and white luxury basics in keeping with their signature womenswear design, and the feel will be Anglo-Franco as Thomas divides his time between London and Paris. Thomas stated: “I hope that the boyfriend or husband of the Joseph woman will buy this collection, but also someone with a forward-thinking approach to fashion.”

And last but not least, Joseph will be launching their unisex capsule line this season entitled Joseph Iconics. The line will play on the masculine and feminine and consist of wardrobe essentials, including a peacoat, a leather jacket and boyfriend jeans.
