Holy Mother of Missoni, what the hell happened to the weather? Ok, I know meteorology chat is rather dull but seriously, one minute I was cycling around Stockholm in little more than my denim cut-offs and now I’m cocooning myself in swathes of fabric like the little matchstick girl, and Hell I didn’t even get to wear half of my Topman short-sleeved summer shirts yet!
Is this really it? Are we autumnal shopping already? I kind of love fall clothing but I was still working on the base tan that was going to last me until December. So, I suppose here we are again, cruising the web for outerwear – sigh.
For us menswear enthusiasts shopping for outerwear can be tricky, because, let’s be honest, if you’re 5ft 1 no matter how “extra small” an item is, it can still look more “over-kill”, than “over-sized”. Not to worry though, I have curated the perfect shopping list of menswear brands who are replicating their bomber jacket options – Fall is after all, bomber season – for their female shoppers. BRIXTOL
If you followed this blog last A/W you will be all to familiar with my flirtation with Brixtol. Last year I bought the menswear D.W Bomber in XS and kept myself toasty all winter long. Turns out I wasn’t the only girl buying boys clothes from Brixtol, as this season the design duo have launched the EM bomber for women, with all the necessary adjustments to suit the female form, but with no compromising on the awesome masculine style.
GANT RUGGER
Never have I swooned the way I swooned over the Gant Rugger Varsity Sherpa for the gents – could one item of clothing be so perfect? Lambswool sleeves, a knitted collar and cuffs and contrast popper buttons made this the ultimate fall jacket. Unfortunately I could never get a hold of one in my size, but with the launch of Gant Rugger Women this season (hooray hooray!) I am psyched to see that designer FiFi, has reinvented the model for us girls – sign me up!

Ah mais oui, it has to be A.P.C. No brand takes sportswear cool and throws in Parisian chic the way A.P.C is able to. It’s all about quiet luxury and these his n hers bomber jackets, showcase premium leather sleeves contrasting with a wool blend body – they’re the ultimate hero piece for your wardrobe.
